My Family has lived in High River for over 15 years, and the foothills region for over 20,. I believe strongly that what makes a great community is the dedication of residents to look out for one another, through good time and bad. Over the past few years we have had some tough times but the folks of this community have pulled together. We have made a more resilient, more welcome, and safer community. Our town is the benchmark that other municipalities strive to in terms of mitigation, redevelopment, and forward planning.
With this in mind, let me tell you about myself. I was raised in Lethbridge, Alberta and in 1995 I moved to Nanton and began working for Cargill Foods. In 2000 my wife and I moved to High River. Having worked with an exceptional agent, Kirby Herr, I was inspired to begin a career in real estate. Kirby endeavored to not just show us homes, but made us aware of what high river had to offer. I too believe that clients moving to or within the Foothills region deserve the best information when planning on buying or selling. While living here has provided me with excellent knowledge on what High River has to offer, my experience through volunteering has taught me about the spirit of the High River people. I am proud of my time with the High River Kinsmen and all of the fundraising efforts to help improve the town. I have also volunteered with the Town of High River (as Chairman of the Sub Division and Planning Appeal Board) and with the High River Policing Committee (also as Chairman). I am currently the Chairman of the Parents Council at Holy Spirit Academy, and continue to volunteer with our Church.
In regards to the Real Estate industry, I believe in making sure my clients get the most current information. Real estate is ever changing and I am committed to continuing to upgrade my skills through courses and designations such as: Leaders Choice, Dwayne Groome’s Productivity Challenge, and Brian Buffini’s 100 days to Greatness. I am fully licensed in Residential, Condominiums, Commercial, and Agricultural Real Estate. My brokerage, Royal LePage Benchmark, strongly believes in contributing to the real estate community through their involvement with the Calgary Real Estate Board. I’m proud to say that over the past few years, agents with Royal LePage Benchmark have had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors, with Becky Walters and Corinne Lyall both serving as President since 2013. My colleagues are also involved with the Charitable Foundation and many other subcommittees focused on raising the bar and improving the real estate industry. Myself, I am currently serving on the Town and Country Advisory Committee. It is because of the dedication and commitment of the Royal LePage Benchmark agents that I helped open a satellite office in High River in 2014 to better serve the needs of our clients in the High River area.
My wife and I live here with our daughter and like everyone who buys a lottery ticket have often had the discussion: “what would you do if you won the big one?”. The one thing we always agree on, is that we would not be moving to some sunny hot destination! We love this town and we want to raise our daughter here. The education system is fantastic, the sense of community is amazing, and the pride we have for this town, is shared by so many other people who call High River home. If you are planning on selling or buying in High River, or the Foothills region, give me a call, I would be honored to discuss how I can help you.
